The Daily Practice of Simple Pleasures

Simplicity

After a long day I enjoy indulging in simple pleasures—

Some nights it’s couple episodes of Snowfall or Bridgerton— others it’s a glass wine and a book.

Either way, I like to light a candle (MUSE, of course) to set the mood and ease out of the day’s stress.

Once the show goes off or I’ve come to a good stopping point in whatever book I’m reading— I give myself moments of reflection before heading to bed. By doing so I recount what happened throughout the day to express gratitude and to hold myself accountable for areas I may have fell short. Holding space for myself in that way ensures that I do not carry over any stress or frustration into my sleep or even the next day.

What are some simple pleasures you enjoy?

Here are some simple reads for self-discovery
— The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck
— The Four Agreements
— The Alchemist
